“We rightfully celebrate being made in the image of God, but the Biblical witness also reminds us that God is the Creator and that we are not. While I am thankful for our technology, I fear that we are forgetting that there are mysteries that are not within our reach."I don't speak that elegantly, but I did remind the congregation of the first corollary to Murphy's Law, which is "Murphy was an optimist". Being aware of the difference between what we think we know and what Murphy's Law predicts will happen is the measure of wisdom. Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte, Kentucky, was built on the casting floor of a 19th Century iron blast furnace. We use "The Casting Floor" as an image for the power of the Spirit to form us. Visit us at http://communitypresbyterian.org.
