Vitamin C

If all babies are born children of God, and all the inmates of our prisons started out as babies, what goes wrong between bassinet and mug shot? Why do some of God's children turn out so bad? Is naming them children of Satan the best we can do? What the heck does that mean, anyway? Join us for this week's sermon, Vitamin C, by clicking HERE for audio, or HERE for text.

Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte, Kentucky, was built on the casting floor of a 19th Century iron blast furnace. We use "The Casting Floor" as an image for the power of the Spirit to form us. Visit us at http://communitypresbyterian.org.

  1. An excellent question, Stew and a good sermon -- the passage from Ezekiel is interesting -(the lector at church read in such a low voice that I could not hear -- and afterwards I did not take the time to look it up -- my bad) -- As I recall C.S. Lewis was one who said we might be surprised at who we would see in heaven -- Maybe the one who was not a pleasant person, but who overcame many things to become even the person we saw -- and maybe not the one for whom doing the "good " thing or the 'right" thing just always came easily. Absolutely agree that we are all God's!! I used to doubt the existence of evil -- as a force, not a being -- but now, yes, I believe that evil exists..... but it is not the opposite of God. Hope you are feeling better....
